Beat the Blank Page
[OLE3306]

David Tierney, BA, MA

One-day workshop on Saturday 11 May, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

The concept of ‘writer's block’ can sometimes encourage us to accept our inability to write rather than develop strategies which support us to write when we need to. This course looks at some more of the most innovative and sometimes bizarre ways that writers have used to avoid staring at the blank page. We assess their value to you with research from neuroscience, psychology, personal development and author experience. With practical examples and practice exercises you will be inspired to take a fresh look at how you write, boost your creativity and curiosity and cultivate a more pro-active approach to your writing projects. This is new material to the course offered in Autumn 2023.
