[OLE3341]

Maureeen Hurndall, BA

Autumn 2024

One-day workshop on Saturday 19 October, 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

Much antagonism towards the Irish Language from certain communities has disappeared and been replaced by increasing interest and a desire to acquire what had previously been denied to them.  Others have had a vague interest and may have studied the language at school.  But with whom, why and where did the Revival start in Belfast and how and by whom have the numbers interested in Irish been increased over the decades?  Why are some of the new Communities seeking language exchanges? Join our workshop to find out.
