5 weekly sessions on Fridays 11.00 am to 12.00 noon, starting 3 May 

Taking its title from Rudolf Sieczynski's famous song, this course will be celebrating composers whose music was generally heard, not in the grand opera houses and concert halls of the city, but in more modest venues.  From the Strauss family to Franz Lehar, we will be surveying a tradition that stretched over 110 years, from the 1820s to the 1930s, when the political situation put an end to such a carefree existence or drove it underground. 

Fee £29.00 (concession rate £22.00)  

This class will take place on QUB campus
