This is a 5-week educational course to teach participants Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. The course has been developed using the model of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, of the University of Massachusetts. It has been known for centuries in the meditative tradition that the sustained practice of mindfulness meditation can have profoundly healing and transformative effects in one’s life. Mindfulness is an awareness that arises as one pays attention on purpose in a particular way to ongoing inner and outer, present-moment experience.
